Emotional Regulation & Mental Resilience
Students today face high levels of stress, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm, often without the tools to manage them effectively. Through martial arts, they learn mindfulness, self-control, and resilience, turning frustration into focus and stress into strength.
Focus & Self-Discipline
With endless distractions and a world of instant gratification, many students struggle to stay engaged and motivated. Martial arts instills focus, patience, and discipline, training students to be present, follow through, and develop a strong work ethic.
Conflict Resolution & Positive Social Interaction
Bullying, peer conflicts, and miscommunication are daily struggles for many students. Martial arts fosters respect, empathy, and non-violent problem-solving, empowering students to handle conflicts with confidence and kindness.
Confidence & Self-worth
Social pressures and self-doubt hold many students back from reaching their full potential. Martial arts provides a structured path to success, helping them build confidence, embrace challenges, and develop a strong sense of self.
Session Overview

Opening Story
The Session will open with a compelling story about Kyle's journey through martial arts and how he was able to discover the true power of purpose through the martial arts principles that he holds with him today.
From being a scared & timid 5 year old boy who refused to join class to achieving his life long goal of becoming a black belt. Kyle realized how the goal he achieved was far less important than the evolving purpose that drove him to continuously improve.

Exercises
Students will have the opportunity to learn basic kung fu techniques including foundational stances that challenge their mobility and strength in new movements, basic punches and kicks, and learning kung fu sequences.
Students will work in different levels: individually, in partners, and in groups, highlighting the importance of collaboration, leadership, and acceptance. These exercises will also demonstrate the importance of creating discipline and consistency in working towards goals.

Breaking Through
Discussing the challenges we face in our own self beliefs and confidence. We will uncover the limiting beliefs and stories that we place on ourselves on a daily basis. Students will write their negative thoughts and beliefs on a "mirror" (tinfoil) and have the opportunity to BREAK THROUGH their limiting beliefs and stories, offering a refreshing and lasting finishing touch!

Kyle Craik is a passionate speaker, coach, and martial arts black belt who inspires individuals to unlock their full potential. As the owner of The Wellness Dojo, Kyle has built a thriving community focused on discipline, personal growth, and resilience. His 30 years of experience in martial arts combined with his expertise and passion for working with youth on developing their mental and physical health has been a foundational drive for his life's purpose.
Kyle’s student sessions leave lasting impressions through interactive experiences, using martial arts principles to teach core values such as discipline, emotional integrity, and mental resilience. Drawing on his own experiences as a father, entrepreneur, and mentor, he brings a unique perspective on collaborating with others, overcoming obstacles, embracing purpose, and achieving sustainable success.
Kyle’s sessions are designed to motivate and challenge individuals to push beyond their limits, cultivate self-awareness, and take intentional steps toward growth. He is committed to empowering others to lead with confidence, purpose, and clarity.

Is this a Martial Arts or Wellness programIn short, this is a martial arts program. Using various exercises and teachings of martial arts students will gain a deeper understanding of their wellness through principles required to excel at the sport.

However, we generally see the most direct impact when working in smaller groups such as one or two classes at a time.
